Android Phone Pod + airstream Bracket wanted.

Mine is a Samsung Galaxy SII c/w Plastic crash protection case.
Total = W: 5 3/16" H: 2 3/4" D: 0.5"

Is anyone producing a pod for Androids + I-Phones?

What with all the cool Android Flight Sofware out now like XC Soar, SeeYou and it's Recorder, Gaggle, XC Track and VarIO... I thought I would give it a go.

Tnx. Fried Ed.

Tom Rust at Fort Funston is playing around with a 3-D Printer to make a cellphone holder which attaches to the down tube.

Saw the initial beta version. Needs to be a bit firmer/more secure, but looks promising.

Perhaps message him via www.flyfunston.org

Holy Canoly, I can't wait to fly lk800 on my Android. I guess I'll have to make a new pod for it.

So just to be sure I have the right things before I order, in order to make this work I need this...

and this...

Is anyone out there using this set-up? How well does it work for you? Are there any other options I should look at before spending my money?

Be careful fellas. A basic tenet of flying (or driving) safety is, the more distractions you have to look at, the more dangerous pilot you will be.

The electronic gadgetry is getting really out of hand. Just imagine adding another device to this mess:

There's a new app called Murmation.

Image

Instead of being 2d like the others, it's 3d and gives augmented view. It's the easiest to use and doesn't require starting or stopping flights. Best variometer logic and settings.

To top that off, there's the realtime website that lets users watch flights live, and can be accessed on any devices.

If that's not enough, it lets you sync Youtube videos.

Take a look at the viewer:
