Not much.

I do like both the Beach Boys and the Eagles. I was trying to get to sleep one night when the song "Cool Water" came on. I had to get up and get a drink.

Oh, yeah, Townes is pretty cool, too.

Touche', my friend.

That must have been my problem. I think I was "elevated" from the age of 13 until, well until...

As I read down the thread I was thinking the same thing (these guys are old!) Give me any pop (popular) top 100 station and I am happy.

I can pretty much listen to anything....EXCEPT country, rap, and the Beatles. All three really make me want to blow my brains out!

My favorite bands are actually Led Zep (need I say more), Aerosmith, and Nirvana. They all have a musical quality that I like....Led Zep and Nirvana were both very cutting edge for their time period.

I actually saw that Rad and I have a lot of the same likes....I'm not sure about Tom and I as I haven't listened to his station yet but will soon.

I wouldn't say that AC/DC is my favorite meatal band either...I just enjoy listening to their music on occasion. Actually, in that genre it would probably be Metallica for me.

Some others I like are:

Hendrix
Santana
Eric Clapton
Fleetwood Mac
Green Day
Chemical Brothers
Prodigy
Pink Floyd
Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Cure
Depeche Mode
B.B. King
Louis Armstrong
Frank Sinatra
And Of course Hannah Montana....  Kidding of course...that's actually another one that could make me blow my brains out.

I'm old!

Maroon Five  Hoobastank, Los lonely Boys, Modest Mouse, Five for Fighting, New Radicals (hmm, okay, a little old), Coldplay, Creed, Pixies, but as I said, pretty mainstream uninteresting stuff, so I did not elaborate. Granted, not cutting edge by any stretch, but at least I am listening, even at 51.

I've been checking the mail - looking forward to hearing you and your lovely wife sing.

Mrs. Poser - I forgot Santana - definitely near the top of my list also! One of my most memorable concerts was Santana at the Greek Amphitheater - warm summer evening, open-air venue, front row center tickets, smell of colitas rising in the air (oops - wrong band.)

I liked Zappa when I heard him, but never got fully into him -I mostly remember his lyrics as hilarious.

The Tubes - that reminds me of another good group - The B-52s.

One good thing about living in Vegas is that we get a lot of groups come to perform at the casinos. Most of them have pool parties during the summer months that you can get into for a few bucks and hear some great music.

Tull is playing in Albany the 29th.
