Campers,

Well, it finally happened. My old phone (battery) finally bit the dust,
and I got dragged, kicking and screaming, into the present decade.
So far, I guess it's kinda okay here . . . 8)

So, lately I found this free App to put Doppler radar on an Android device. It's called "My Radar," free with sellers ads, or US$1.99 without the ads, from the GooglePlay store. It's recent animated Doppler weather maps with a pinch-type zoom-in, zoom-out view of your area, and nothing else. Lots of radar apps do more, but they cost more in the price, or in the permissions. This is all I need, for now. Maybe worth a look, if you have a Droid.

Have tried it and it works fine. Though sometimes the app is a bit slow.

I use MyRadar for Iphone, and find it very useful. It does many things
forecast
winds
temp
warnings
aviation layers (Signets/Airmets/TFR)

great, and free

I believe it uses info from NOAA/NWS so we'll see how long its available before mein fuhrer shuts it down.
