This forum is dedicated to discussions on how to grow the sport of hang gliding. We will take a methodical approach to collect data and come up with implementable ideas on how to increase our numbers. This includes effective marketing, lead generation, site access issues, improving regulations, lack of instructors, lack of sites, etc

Nice that whoever chose the images chose hang gliders over paragliders. Many people would have done the opposite, preferring the look of jellies over blades for some unknown reason.

I like to say " Lakeview is just a glide down from a Sugar high."

That's pretty sweet! I'd like to learn more about how it was all accomplished. We have a community up in NE WA that is getting fairly keen on us. We're having our first Fly-In there in July (Inkler's Point - Chewelah, WA). I don't think they have a transit system (don't really know). But, these photos are sure great to show the Chamber about how another Chamber is embracing flying.

BTW, tried to find information on the Festival of Free Flight for 2017 and haven't run across anything. When is it this year?

The "chamber" has had a few changes in leadership this year and is not currently planning on hosting the event. I'll always help with weather and site selection for anybody showing up.
Things can still change.....

On the Devil's Dyke, a huge stone age earthwork near Brighton UK, the hill is so associated with Hang gliders that the inn on the top has it on its sign.
