Do you know how much it takes / costs to get an AT sign-off? It's something I've had in my mind for a while now...

Exactly!

Not sure what you mean with an AT, but towing costs around 4€/100m and an additional day fare for the airfield.

Yes, that is Bösingen.
I joined uvflyer for this week of AT and it was the first time for me. Course costed about a €100 for the instruction alone. There are other costs involved like you pay €4 per 100m that you get towed up (this is with this school - other schools/clubs might charge different rates). There is also the cost of using the airfield for the day, which may also vary depending on the club.
The club that I joined is a Dutch club called Daidalos, lead by Harm (tow pilot) & Annet (ground instructor). Very nice people, great feedback and not to mention that a week of aerotowing will do wonders to your flying and landing technique.
