Glad you enjoyed.
I do. A lot of the time I dont "need" it. Using it frequently helps me to stay current with it.
Also, it gets me on the deck quicker. Less chance for "trouble" finding me IMO.

I know some of the many advantages using a drag chute....
Shorter field capability
Shorter period in the critical rounding out phase
Ability to land downslope
Ability to escape cloudsuck? {unsure of that one}
There"s probably a few more ....Now i only get about 30? hours a year these days, i"m lucky i have so many total hrs i can go 4-5wks then leap off a mtn and it all comes together again however i don"t have time to re-adapt my technique....was there much of a learning curve to sorting out then becoming familiar with a drag chute?...Boy i wish the manufacturers could sort out retractable airbrakes :)

The only learning curve I found was everything happens quicker.
Less ground skim, shorter round out.
When you get close to trim it has little affect. the flare is the same, just less time getting to it.
My first time I tossed it about 1500' agl. Spent some time pulling in, slowing down, making turns and so on.

Its great when you want to land and its still "lifty" :-)
