Hi all.

I have an old Exxtacy, in generally excellent condition, but some of the tape which borders the flaps, spoilers and other sharp parts of the carbon leading edges, is coming off. It seems to be a cloth based tape, and the adhesive has pretty much failed now. If anyone has any suggestions for what would be a good replacement, I'd love to hear them. Here is a photo.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers.

Pete.

Maybe just put some tenacious tape over it and trim the stuff that has fallen off? Cleaning the surface would be best, but I don't know what would be the safest to remove the old adhesive... Maybe some alcohol?

Thanks guys. That tenacious tape looks good. I like the fibreglass cloth tape as well. Just have to test some and see how it handles the sharp edges.

That looks like hardened contact cement ..we never thought it to be an ephemeral product back in the eighties.. if so acetone will soften it but will take some time . but be careful as it may react with the good stuff there .
