Once again this year, North American Air Defense Command (NORAD) will swing their powerful radar installations and all-seeing satellite platforms to the happy task of tracking Santa on Christmas Eve. Watch then, as he makes his rounds across the globe, delivering presents to all countries of the Earth.

SantaCams will record his flight over many cities and famous landmarks, then. Santa will have friendly fighter jet escorts at some locations, and you can watch Santa's reindeer and sleigh in flight, from their cockpit cameras.

The NORAD web site includes various holiday-related activities: videos, books, history, and a new little game each day that may challenge young and old alike. That web site will be slow to load for the first contact, but most browsers will cache much of the material, so loading will be much faster, after the first visit.

  Good info Red.
I'm sure Santa is aware that thermal activity is limited at night.
Reindeer and sleigh classification, flexy or rigid?

Windlord,

I'd say, animal-powered towing, free flight, classed as rigid (pilot has a control system, not weight shift).
Very fast, but able to land on a rooftop.

Very fast?!? Ha. Delivering presents and goodies (or coal) to each and every household? I'd have to say hyper-fast. Or even extraterrestrial-fast. Probably more like extradimensionally-fast. How does NORAD even keep up with Santa? Me thinks it's all BS to believe NORAD can even track Santa. He operates in totally different dimensions, man! You can't track the Santa unless he slows down enough to have a nibble of cookies and a gulp of milk. That's the only time he's even visible.
Merry Christmas!

Doug,

I dunno, but NORAD has these old videos . . . and new ones to be seen, every Christmas.
I think the jet escorts make the best mid-air videos, in-flight.
The Globe map will show Santa filling in each time-zone with deliveries,
as Christmas midnight gets to any one location on Earth.
Radar and satellite tracking starts at the Date Line, going west,
so the USA can watch the tracking from about sundown on Christmas Eve.
