I don't know where everyone was! It looked to be an obvious Randolph day on Sunday, but the only pilots there were me and Pete. Pete was anxious to get some soaring hours on his Millenium and I was just after some airtime.
Conditions at launch were straight in from 15 to 20 most of the time with occasional 4-5 minute cycles reaching 25. I helped Pete launch, not that he needed it; the Mill behaves very nicely in strong winds. He had a beautiful launch and was soon racing all over the sky.
I launched about 15 minutes behind him and immediately climbed to 10,200. I bailed out at that point due to the cold. We both played for 2.5 to 3 hours and had nice landings around 5:30.
Having that big ridge to yourself on such a spectacular day is fun, but we would have been glad to share!!!
