Finally got my first flight in for the year. The site is called Waterloo, it is near White Hall, Montana overlooking the Jefferson River. Launch s about 6100 feet and the LZ is about 4500 feet.
We all expected to soar with 15 or so coming straight in. However, this site is notorious and what appeared to be a sure thing turned into sink. But, who cares! This was my first launch and landing for the year... and my first flight at Waterloo.
After a no wind landing we went back up for my Jeep and I decided to hit the natural hot spring for a hot soak and a cold beer. What a day and thanks to Don L and Larry.
