So you have 4 pilots ( 3 experienced, one n00b - me) at walts with 3 vehicles ( 2 capable of carrying 4 gliders). Ah, but the day looks quite good -- better than the last week, so clearly, nobody wants to be stuck on driver duty. What is an enterprising group of pilots to do with this conundrum?
1) stick a retrive vehicle at manzanar-reward airstrip
2) everyone drive to the launch in the other vehicle - and launch
3) "driver" pilot better make it out to manzanar reward airstrip to do driver duty with the retrieve vehicle, or he will be skewered alive

this was actually my 5th and certainly best flight at walts. touched 15k and had an easy glide to the airstrip with the tailwind.
Please note, I have left out the video where I get flushed out the launch bowl valley to the 'glass factory'
there were multiple 100+ mile flights from walts but even so I was quite happy with mine. Making target =
