Sorry for the repost, but my first one disappeared.

If anybody is ATing a Freedom 170 via a trike, could you give me a good starting point for the attachment point on your keel (v-bridle). A linear measurement from some refrence point would be deeply appreciated. Thanx in advance.

i bet it would be fine if you were just in front of hang strap or on the carabiner

Although the biner or just in front of the hang point is OK, I'd try about 4" forward. Some people AT just fine with a pro-tow, but I found it to take too much of my available pull in to be comfortable on a 170. Trikes typically tow a little faster than D-flys so the 4" is a good starting point.

That's also where we have both 220 Freedoms set for the tandem operation.

Cheers

Here's a chart that I found traveling to various unnamed flight parks ;)

My guess was directly below crossbar and that's what the chart seems to indicate.

If you're flying WesMar, have John Alden take it for a shake down flight.

Adjust forward or backward along the keel as necessary.

In straight & level flight behind the tug you should be able to fly without fatigue or excessive pulling in force.
Control bar positioned somewhere around nipples

I used the specified tow point on magicpotato's photo for my new Falcon 4 and it was spot on.
